Consultation

It’s really important that you find the right help and I may, or may not be the right person for the job. Let’s have a 20 minute conversation to figure this out. Email jenny@peelonions.com

Currently I work over phone or video call so that I can meet with people anywhere in the world. At the same time, I understand wanting to meet with someone face-to-face.  Consider booking the phone or video consultation to see how it feels.

 

Fees

If:

  • you do not have insurance AND
  • you can not afford the fees below AND
  • you feel that I am the right person to help you

Please email me so we can try to figure out fees you can afford.

Currently my standard fees are:

  • $110 for a one hour session
  • $300 for 3 sessions
  • $540 for 6 sessions

Prices are in Canadian dollars.

 

Payment

Payment is due at the end of every session unless you purchased a package.

You can pay by cheque or e-transfer unless other arrangements have been made. If you are paying with US currency, please get in touch with me at jenny@peelonions.com

If you’ve opted to purchase a package, payment is due prior to the first session. You may opt to buy a package after your first session and the cost of the first session will be included.  If you’ve purchased a package and decide that you do not want to continue, you will be reimbursed for the unused portion of the package and the sessions you did have will be charged the single session fee of $110/session.

 

Benefits & insurance

If you have benefits, sessions may be covered because I’m registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Several extended health insurance plans assist with the cost of counselling/psychotherapy services from registered social workers with a Masters of Social Work. Ask your employer or insurance company to verify coverage.

Social work services delivered by a registered social worker are HST exempt and for individuals, couples and families seeking help, you may be able to claim these services on your income tax through the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC).

 

Cancellations

Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. A cancellation fee of $35 is charged if an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
