I have personally experienced and witnessed healing that transforms suffering. It’s astounding what happens when the energy that was stuck, and creating pain in our lives, starts to flow. I have seen people able to live their lives more fully and with more ease. It’s rarely a straight line and it’s not always pretty but it’s worth it. My approach to this work can be more outcome-oriented than traditional talk therapy. I believe in our innate desire and capacity to feel better.

Background
I worked with youth, adults and families as well as organizations and networks for over 20 years. I have training in frameworks and therapeutic modalities including anti-oppression, addictions, emotional freedom techniques, expressive arts, family therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, process work, psychodynamic therapy, somatic-based practices, trauma counselling, and youth engagement.
I have also designed and delivered training and workshops on many topics for those working on the frontlines in the social service sector.
The nitty-gritty
I work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework and strive for curiosity, compassion and humility. It’s important to me to work collaboratively and I integrate different tools and approaches based on where you are in the moment and what will have the most impact.
I have a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria and Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
